Fisher-Price Dream Dollhouse engages preschoolers in pretend play in an interactive environment. Children use the mouse to explore and rearrange six rooms, solve problems and act out fantasies. Magical sprites and hidden mouse holes add to the fun. When children enter the dollhouse, they are welcomed by three characters: Mrs. Baggs, Cowboy Bob, and an unnamed little girl, who can be anyone your child wants her to be.

Children are also greeted with music, sounds, animations and voices inviting them to play. They can then choose any of six rooms to explore by simply clicking the mouse. In each room, a child can click on objects, some of which have special sounds or animations attached to them. Many objects can be moved, so that a child can put clothes on a dress form, put away groceries in the kitchen, or set up a tea party in the playroom. There is a container in each room full of toys and fun things the child can place in the room. The child can also select playmates by clicking on special buttons in the room. One special feature you won't find in a real dollhouse is the ability to magically redecorate with Sprites. Three fairies -- Sparkle, Flora, and Turnabout -- can move about the room (controlled by the child with the mouse). Twinkling lights and music show which objects the Sprites can change. Flora might change the bedroom rug and bedspread into a lush garden. Children find it fun to discover which things the Sprites can change and how they are transformed. Something else you won't find in an ordinary dollhouse is the secret mouse world. Mice leave a clue in each room, describing where their mouse hole is. By clicking on a piece of cheese, the child will hear the clue. She may need to move some objects in order to find the mice's secret place. Once inside the mouse hole, there is another room to explore. There is an ice cream factory in the kitchen's mouse hole, a mouse wedding in the playroom's mouse hole.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos - Yugi the Destiny, Konami's latest title to bear the license of Kazuki Takahashi's popular anime, is little more than a bare-bones digital version of the collectible card game upon which the franchise is founded.

For Yu-Gi-Oh! fans, the meager options make it less attractive than one of Konami's dozen or so other, more fully featured Yu-Gi-Oh! games, and to players who don't already have an investment in the series, it has about as much to offer as a game of solitaire.

Sherlock Holmes: Mystery of the Mummy

Sherlock Holmes: Mystery of the Mummy is an adventure game replete with puzzles, many of them timed, which takes place in its entirety in a privately owned Egyptian museum. The museum also serves as the impressive residence of Lord Montcalfe, a student of the antiquities, who has seemingly passed his passion for archeology, as well as other traits, on to his loving daughter Elisabeth.

But, alas, Lord Montcalfe has come up missing and his adoring daughter has thoughtfully engaged Sherlock, her distant cousin, to find her missing father. You, as Sherlock, become a part of the unfolding mystery solo, sans Watson, as you enter the museum in search of the missing Lord. Be aware that puzzle content and frequency becomes increasingly more difficult as you progress in the game. Good luck, Sherlock!

The puzzles might seem appealing to longtime fans of traditional adventure games, but unfortunately, the game's graphics probably won't seem appealing to anyone other than adventure-game die-hards. Mystery of the Mummy runs at a fixed resolution of 640x480, though from the looks of it, the game itself was designed at an even lower resolution, because nearly everything in Mystery of the Mummy looks blurry and unfocused. It doesn't help matters that Mystery of the Mummy's color palette is generally dark and drab--especially when some of the game's puzzles require you to hunt for hidden items and switches. Considering that most modern computer games have begun to use 3D graphics, it's safe to say that Mystery of the Mummy would have, and should have, looked better with a fully 3D graphics engine.

It's time to strap down your bindings and take to the slopes in one of the best snowboarding simulations released on the PC. This is Supreme Snowboarding in more ways than one.

The gameplay in Supreme Snowboarding is broken up into four main sections - Arcade, Time Trial, Half Pipe and Big Air. Arcade racing is where you race other snowboarders down treacherous terrains in a fight for first place. Tricks are not essential in this mode, but they're always fun to execute. Time Trial is where you perfect your line in an attempt to shave a tenth or maybe a hundredth of a second from your previous best. Half pipe is a trick event where you pull off the biggest, most impressive moves to earn a top score. Finally, Big Air is a 'one try, one outrageous trick' competition, and a lot of fun if you've got some friends around.

The control method is Supreme Snowboarding is balanced and well thought out. If you hold down jump, left, right or up and down, you'll see a gauge build up, showing how much effort you are going to put into a trick. This makes it easy to judge the spin or flip perfectly, depending on how much air you have.

Graphically speaking, this title is a gem to look at. The night time races are particularly impressive. Good graphics plus good gameplay equals one fine PC snowboarding experience.

It's New Year's Eve 1938. On board the private yacht of the wealthy and eccentric Ian Masque, you find yourself part of a "select" group of guests invited to an "unusual" New Year's Eve party. Each guest has a story to tell, but their connection to you and to each other remains hidden. Something strange is bound to happen, and everyone is a suspect.

Get ready to put your best deductive reasoning to work and unravel the true story behind this game. Along the way you'll find challenging puzzles to solve and mini-mysteries to unlock. This totally engaging mystery adventure is sure to keep super sleuths entertained from the opening scene to the exciting cliffhanging climax.

All of the game mechanics are competent and pitched to a novice adventurer, as are the straightforward puzzle solutions. From a first-person view, you move from point to point through prerendered period sets, questioning each guest via a pop-up memo pad of subjects. The scenery design is sparse, and the cutscenes lack any cinematic flair. An inventory of gathered objects also glides up from below. A visual catalog of suspects offers a bit of background and reminds you of each guest's possible motive in offing Ian Masque. The hint system is especially good, in that it lets you access up to three hints of decreasing obscurity at a given juncture in the game. At the very least, Fatal Illusion serves as a fair introduction to the adventure/puzzle style of play.

Risk II-Adrenalin rise up

Same-time Risk doesn't use the classic six-sided dice; instead, it uses a completely new die rule - the attacker and defender each gets one 12-sided die that has a certain amount of number values on it, depending on the size of the army. There are five ranks of the 12-sided dice, called "battle dice", from white to black. The white die rolls an average of 2.6, while the black die rolls an average of 4.5, making it easier for larger armies to destroy smaller ones. Not only does the color of the battle dice determine how strong your roll will probably be, but it also determines how many armies you'll lose upon the outcome of the roll.

While this new system is certainly interesting, it's somewhat one-sided, and it completely eliminates the infamous "Rambo" scenario in which your single defending army successfully repels an attack, even though it's hopelessly outnumbered. The advantage is now definitely with the attacker, as the defender no longer wins a tie in same-time Risk. To make up for this, same-time Risk sports a rule that limits exactly how many armies you can use to fortify certain territories. Unfortunately, this rule is frustrating, as you'll often find yourself with more reinforcements than you can spend on your border territories, making you waste those armies on a country that's not at immediate risk. With all these variables, same-time Risk is a quicker, more ruthless game than the classic version, and it couldn't possibly exist without the assistance of a computer to keep track of all the details. Each of the game's different play modes contains a good amount of options that can dramatically change the play style. You can decide what objective wins the game - from world domination to individual missions. There's also a brand-new winning objective that is reminiscent of the short-lived Castle Risk game: Capital Risk has you designate one of your countries as your capital. To win the game, you must occupy your capital as well as those of at least two other players. There are also three different ways to determine starting positions: You can either go by the book and take turns selecting countries, or you can use "house rules" and deal all the territory cards out at the beginning of the game, randomly assigning countries to players. The third way is a completely new and somewhat painstaking method of distributing the territories. Each player starts the game with a certain number of influence points, which you use to bid on each territory as it's auctioned off. When a final bid is placed, the player spends the points and gains the territory.
